Bio:
Claudia Torán (b. 1991, Valencia)
is a visual artist and PhD in Fine Arts currently based in Madrid.
After completing a Master's Degree in Design & Illustration at the Polytechnic University of Valencia and Leeds University, Claudia specialized in the relationship between visual arts and music, dedicating her doctoral thesis to Illustration in the Music Industry.
Although her artistic practice is rooted in painting, her process remains open to the exploration of synergies and multidisciplinary projects, with the aim of transcending technical boundaries and exploring a transversal approach to art, both procedurally and conceptually.
In her visual work, alongside a bold use of colour and composition, there is a taste for the unexpected, traces of a free and intuitive creative process through which Claudia creates a poetic universe of encounters and contradictions. The result is a style that could be described as figurative or abstract, everyday or surreal, naïve or conceptual, but above all, experimental,
